Cheshire Distribution Maps

Species Distribution Maps:

The following maps show the currrently known distribution of some animal and plant species within Cheshire. The maps are produced by exporting data from English Nature's 'Recorder' database package into a distribution and coincidence mapping program called "DMap for Windows" produced by Alan Morton; a program which has become the de-facto standard for mapping the distribution of biological organisms in Britain.

If you have any information about observations of any of the flora and fauna within Cheshire and/or South Lancashire please do let me know. I would love to be able to add your information to the growing database in order to complete the picture of our animals and plants. I am interested in sightings both in the wild and in your back-garden or even your workplace. Please help if you can.
